Installing GW4E on top of Eclipse

Prerequisites
- Install Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers, if not already installed
- Install Maven, if not already installed
- Add M2_REPO Eclipse Variable
- Launch Eclipse IDE
- Select Window > Preferences (Windows,Linux) or Eclipse > Preferences (Mac OS)
- Select Java > Build Path > Classpath Variables
- Click on the New button > defined a new M2_REPO variable and point it to your local Maven repository
- You’re done.
- Install GraphWalker in your local maven repository, if not already installed
- Download the GraphWalker client library in a directory
- In a shell, run the following command :
- mvn install:install-file -Dfile=YOUR_DOWNLOAD_LOCATION/graphwalker-cli-4.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jar -DgroupId=org.graphwalker -DartifactId=graphwalker-cli -Dversion=4.0.0-SNAPSHOT -Dpackaging=jar
- Install Repositories for GW4E dependencies
- Launch Eclipse IDE
- Click Help -> Install new Software
- Click Manage button
- Install Xtext
- Click Add button
- Enter XText in the Name field
- Enter http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/tmf/xtext/updates/composite/releases/ in the Location field
- Click OK button
- Install GEF
- Click Add button
- Enter Gef in the Name field
- Enter http://download.eclipse.org/tools/gef/gef4/updates/releases in the Location field
- Click OK button
- Click Cancel
Installation
- Make sure you’ve followed the prerequisites
- Use one of the 2 following options to install GW4E
Option 1 - Installing GW4E with the Eclipse MarketPlace Option
Drag the Install button to your running Eclipse workspace and follow the wizard.
Option 2 - Installing GW4E with the Standard Option
- Launch Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers , if not already running
- In the main menu, click on the Help -> “Install New Software…“,
- Click the Add button
- Enter GW4E in the Name field
- Enter https://github.com/gw4e/gw4e.project/raw/p2repo-4.0.0/repository in the Location field
- Check the GraphWalker Integration for Eclipse check box
- Click Next (processing might take a while)
- Click Next , select GraphWalker Integration for Eclipse and read the details
- Follow the wizard until you get GW4E installed.
